🚌 By Bus (Easiest)
Warangal is the primary transit hub for Jatara pilgrims. TSRTC runs non-stop special buses from Warangal bus station during the festival.
Boarding: Warangal TSRTC Bus Station (Hanamkonda side) and Kazipet Bus Stand
During Jatara: Buses every 5–10 minutes, 24/7. Direct to Medaram — no stops.
Regular season: Buses to Mulugu run every hour (₹60–80). From Mulugu, shared autos/jeeps to Medaram (₹30–50).
Return: Special buses run from Medaram back to Warangal throughout the festival.
🚗 By Car / Cab
Flexible option, ideal if you want to stop at Ramappa Temple or Pakhal Lake en route.
Route: Warangal → Narsampet → Mulugu → Tadvai → Medaram
Alternate route: Warangal → Eturnagaram → Medaram (slightly longer but less congested during Jatara)
Road condition: Good 2-lane road until Mulugu. Last 30 km through Eturnagaram forest — narrow, single-lane, extremely heavy traffic during Jatara.
Fuel: Last petrol pump at Mulugu. Fill up before entering the forest stretch.

Warangal is the best base for the Jatara — widest range of hotels, restaurants, and ATMs. Most pilgrims stay here and make a day trip to Medaram.
Budget (₹500–1,500)
Hotel Ashoka, Sri Sai Lodge, lodges near bus stand. Basic rooms, clean, convenient location.
Mid-range (₹1,500–3,500)
Hotel Ratna, Haritha Hotel (TSTDC), Hotel Suprabha. AC rooms, restaurant, decent amenities.

Temporary tent shelters set up by the district administration during Jatara. Very basic — bring sleeping gear.

During Jatara: Vehicles are diverted to parking zones 5–8 km from Medaram. Free shuttle buses to the site.

Walking: From the nearest drop point, expect a 1–3 km walk to the Gadde (sacred platform).
- Start by 3 AM to beat crowds. Return the same evening or stay overnight at Medaram if you don't mind basic facilities.
- During Jatara, food stalls line the Warangal–Medaram route — you won't go hungry.
- TSRTC buses are stress-free — no parking worries, no forest road navigation.
- Visit Sammakka Saralamma Temple in Warangal city (near Bhadrakali) if you can't attend the Jatara — open year-round.
